This is our newest tarantula SHIRA a Salmon Birdeater.
Though you can't hold her because she is fragile,  Becky will bring her to you for a close up look. The Brazilian salmon pink Originating from Brazil (hence the common name), this spider typically grows to a leg span of (8 in), although occasionally exceptional specimens can reach leg spans of(10 in). Large females can weigh upwards of 100 grams. Not quick to bite, however, this species is considered somewhat 'handleable' in the hobby. This tarantula is one of the largest in the world, often cited as the second or third largest (after the T. blondi). In the wild the Brazilian salmon pink tarantula has even been known to prey on the deadly fer-de-lance pit viper snake.

The Madagascar hissing cockroach (Gromphadorhina portentosa), also known as the hissing roach or simply hisser, is one of the largest species of cockroach, reaching 2–3 inches at maturity. Rojo is a female Chilean Rose Tarantula, these are very docile & quiet.
Many kids & adults have had their picture taken holding her.  Females have been known to live as long as 15-20 years. The rose tarantula’s natural habitat is the desert and scrub regions of Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina. They are usually active in the evening or night.

These two girls are Emperor Scorpions, though impressive in size they are quite docile & easily handled if you are gentle. That is the reason you often see these used in movies. The emperor scorpion or imperial scorpion (Pandinus imperator) is a species of scorpion native to Africa. The emperor is one of the largest species of scorpion in the world, with adults averaging about 8 inches in length.  Their life span usually ranges from 5–8 years when held in captivity. The emperor's size, relatively low toxicity, and life span make it the most popular scorpion in the pet trade.  In the wild, emperor scorpions are reported to feed primarily on termites. In captivity they readily feed on crickets, cockroaches, and mealworms. Emperor scorpions are also known to eat small mice and lizards. Emperors are burrowing scorpions, digging with the first or first two pairs of legs. A burrow may be little more than a hollow under a rock or may twist and turn more than six feet into the earth. In the wild, emperors are said to burrow into termite mounds and make their homes there.

TOVIA is our Chaco golden knee Tarantula. One of the larger species of tarantula, the Chaco golden knee (Grammostola pulchripes),, can be expected to reach  (8.5 in). The Chaco Golden Knee tends to be one of the more docile and calm species of tarantula.  The Chaco is an opportunistic burrowing terrestrial tarantula: they tend to burrow while younger and adopt a pre-existing hide as its home when it begins to mature. It is quite flashy in appearance, bearing long light-colored hairs all over its body and gold stripes on its legs, particularly at the "knees".
